BROADCAST ANDNEWSPAPER REPORT

COMPARISON BETWEEN BROADCAST AND NEWSPAPER REPORT:
BROADCAST
Broadcasting media is the allotment of audio and video content to a scattered audience by audio and video mass communications media. Some people are assigned to deliver the news to their audience, they are called news presenters. Their work is just delivering by reading the news through different television channels and radio. Some are assigned to news writing and editing, they are known as news writer and editor. People who work backstage are the real members because, without them, people don’t get the news and the editor’s work is to edit the news and final touch up of the news that is broadcasting. They also have a news head who is the head of the whole news department, sound system section, picture and voice record section, cameraman etc. also they have reporters and they have to be fearless because their work is a challenge. They work fearlessly in different situations and different weather. Their work is to collect the news and present their news about what is happening on time. In broad cast, there are four sections in the news room like national desk, international desk, sports desk and entertainment desk. In the newsroom, people who are working as a news collector and news writer, they write and edit the news and also they have to give the voice for the picture and video that they collect and for the appropriate news that will be live on television. In broadcast news, news has to be updated at any time and important news will be live on time. There is a possibility of discussion as well and updating frequently. Broadcast media provide graphics, video and other content so easily they can communicate with people.

NEWSPAPER REPORT
Print media is a mass communication; it provides the news through printed form. We get the news everyday by the daily newspaper. It is also updated news but we can get the news the next day. Unlike broadcast media, print media gives the whole day’s news the next day and it only can read the literate people. In Broadcast media, all class people and illiterate people can see the news and they can know it from radio or television. In print, the media’s deadline depends on their collection of news. It’s not updating frequently like broadcast media but it updates periodically and live discussion obviously not possible. Lokesh Duraiswami says, ‘Print Media journalism is the journalism practiced in Daily , Weekly, Fortnightly, newspapers and Weekly , Fortnightly, Monthly magazines. Print journalism involves reporting, Collecting, local News, Events, etc to newspapers to its readers. The main work of print journalism is to give news to the readers. Print Media journalism also covers arts and entertainment, Education etc.’ Print media covers the national and international news, sports, entertainment, job news and others, Events, interviews. They can also provide a magazine and weekly entertainment page. The Newspaper covers important or less important news whether it is important but broadcast media telecasts the important news only. Also they provide news in detail. Besides that, when I worked here I saw two or three accident news covers in the newspaper but broadcast news just covers the major accident news and that’s not in detail. The other thing is, the newspaper provides the news depending on the country and location of the country. Like Bogura’s newspaper covers their news first, Rangpur also does the same thing. Tabassum 5 Moreover, print news has followed their own style like headline, 5w and 1h, caption, shoulder, picture and its caption everything but broadcast media don’t follow this style. The coverage of newspapers is limited to a particular location, city and country. Newspaper provides the headline first then subtitles if possible then 5w and 1h then they start the body part and give the detailed news in the part and the last conclusion exists. On the other hand, print media make a headline in one line and read the whole news summary. They just provide the important line along with a video or picture. Sometimes they report live. We can see the headline on television also.

Mental Health

The  constant battle to fall down, fall apart, and then pull yourself back up, collect all the pieces, and pretend like everything is fine and go on with life everyday when it’s actually eating your insides up is beyond ugly. You get stepped on, deal with some trauma, get loved when it’s convenient for them, get led on and then left cause you are not needed anymore, taken for granted, suffer through abusive family environment, get betrayed, get sexually abused and the list goes on about the things that mess us up. All these lead to long-term mental disorders that people go through, are uneducated/unaware of, and need to be diagnosed, and treated as soon as possible.

Representing below some of the major (common) kinds of disorders:

  1. PTSD

A phobia is a type of anxiety disorder that causes an individual to experience extreme, irrational fear about a situation, living creature, place, or object. There are a lot of categories under this, ex, acrophobia: fear of heights, cynophobia: fear of dogs, claustrophobia: fear of flying, and the list goes on.

SYMPTOMS:

i. Dry mouth.

ii. Shortness of breath.

iii. Chest pain or tightness.

iv. Trembling or shaking.

v. Upset stomach.

vi. Pounding or racing of heart.

vii. Rapid speech or inability to speak.

The above 5 disorders are the most common disorders people go through. There are other severe and extreme types of it.  The fact that most of the people are not aware of these is scary to the core. People need to get diagnosed and find a treatment i.e. consult any therapist for it as soon as they understand the concept of what is actually wrong with their situation. To end with, awareness about mental health conditions need to be spread in every corner of the world for a life worth living, and to bring people out from their darkness.
